Generate Quizlet Set
Quizlet study sets, minus the subscription
Quizlet's own Magic Notes can turn notes into cards, but it sits behind a paid Quizlet plan. NextLang generates an import-ready study set in seconds and hands you the text to paste straight into Quizlet. Pick two languages from 20, choose up to 30 terms, and start free with 5 credits that refill every 30 days. The set lives in your own Quizlet account. A saved set is not final: sets grow in steps of up to 30 cards, to a ceiling of 200 cards, one credit per step. The deck does not have to leave the browser to be studied: every set flips as cards on the result page, and one tap adds the whole set to your vocabulary, where a Leitner schedule brings the words back on 1/3/7/21-day intervals.
How the Quizlet generator works
- 1
Add your source
Paste a word list or text, or upload a photo or a PDF. NextLang reads it with built-in image and PDF analysis, so there is no retyping.
- 2
Choose languages and size
Set the source and target language from 20 supported languages and pick how many terms to generate, up to 30 per run.
- 3
AI writes term and definition pairs
Each line is a term with its translation, ready for Quizlet's two-column term and definition format.
- 4
Copy and import
Copy the set and paste it into Quizlet's Import screen, matching the term and card separators you exported with.
What the output looks like
A 5-term preview of a French to English set. You control the separator between term and definition and between cards.
| Term (French) | Definition (English) |
|---|---|
| le quotidien | daily life, everyday |
| s'inscrire | to sign up, to register |
| la rentree | the back-to-school season |
| aboutir | to lead to, to result in |
| le brouillon | the rough draft |
Uses tab or comma between term and definition, and a new line or semicolon between cards.

Quizlet FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about generating Quizlet translation dictionaries for language learning.
Can I make a Quizlet set from a PDF?
Yes. Upload the PDF instead of typing a prompt and NextLang reads it directly, so a course handout, a worksheet or a chapter you exported becomes a Quizlet set without retyping. The file can be up to 10 MB and 30 pages, and photos work the same way. Generating from a file is a premium feature, so it needs a past credit purchase; a rejected file never costs you a credit.
What if a generated card is wrong?
Tell us and you are paid for it: we refund the credit that generated the deck and add 3 more on top, for up to 20 reports a month. Broken formatting, the wrong language, a duplicate inside one deck or a card clearly off the level you asked for count automatically; a translation you would not have chosen we read ourselves and tell you which way we called it. Email support@nextlang.co with the subject "Card report" and include the link to the deck. What counts as a bad card
What is Quizlet and how does it work?
Quizlet is a popular online learning platform that uses flashcards, games, and other study tools to help students learn. Our generator creates translation dictionaries that you can import directly into Quizlet to study new languages.
How do I import the generated content into Quizlet?
After generating your translation dictionary, you'll receive a downloadable file. In Quizlet, go to 'Create a Study Set' and choose 'Import from Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc.' Then upload your file and Quizlet will automatically create flashcards from your translations.
What languages are supported for Quizlet generation?
Our Quizlet generator supports a wide range of languages including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, and many more. You can generate translations between any supported language pairs.
Can I customize the format of the generated Quizlet content?
Yes! Our generator creates content in Quizlet's standard format with the source language on one side and the target language on the other. You can also specify the number of translations you want to generate based on your study needs.
Do I have to import the set into Quizlet to start studying?
No. Every generated set is a flip-card deck right on the result page, and Save all puts the whole set into your vocabulary in one tap. From there the words come back on a Leitner spaced-repetition schedule (5 boxes, 1/3/7/21-day intervals) inside NextLang, whether or not you also import the file into Quizlet. Saving and studying are free for any signed-in account.
How many flashcards can I generate at once?
The number of flashcards you can generate depends on your current credit balance. Each generation typically creates 5-30 flashcards, and you can generate multiple sets to build a comprehensive vocabulary collection.
Is there a limit to how many Quizlet sets I can create?
There's no limit to the number of Quizlet sets you can create with our generator. You can generate as many translation dictionaries as you need, as long as you have sufficient credits in your account.
Can I use the generated content for commercial purposes?
The generated content is for personal educational use. Please review our terms of service for specific guidelines regarding commercial use of the generated translation dictionaries.
What if I need help with a specific language or translation?
Our generator uses advanced AI to provide accurate translations, but if you encounter any issues with specific translations or need help with a particular language, please contact our support team for assistance.
Can I add more words to a set I already made?
Yes, from the set's own page. A saved set is not final: decks grow in steps of up to 30 cards, to a ceiling of 200 cards, one credit per step. The new words are appended to the same set, the terms already in it are excluded from the request so you do not get duplicates, and the term and card separators stay as you chose them, so pasting the set into Quizlet works exactly as it did the first time. Sets built from a file and sets published to the gallery cannot be grown this way yet.
