FAQ
Questions about this converter
Find answers to common questions.
Is the CSV to Mochi converter free?
Yes, and there is no account. Mochi itself has a free tier that imports packages.
What is a .mochi file?
A zip containing a data.edn description of your decks and cards. This converter builds one in the browser.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Parsing and packaging happen in the tab.
Can I keep example sentences?
Yes. Map the column to Example and it is appended in italics under the answer.
Do tags work?
Columns mapped to Tags become hashtags at the end of the card back, which is how Mochi picks tags up.
How large a file can I convert?
Up to 5 MB and 20,000 cards, a limit that keeps the browser responsive.
No file to convert yet?
NextLang writes the cards for you: paste any text and get a deck with translations and example sentences, ready for the same import.
